Shang's sexuality is never addressed in the movie, suitably it's technically head-canon, but that doesn't alter the fact that the environment means something to a lot of people.
Not all remake suitably in the distance has just been a easy retread of what's come before. though Beauty and the creature and Cinderella are mostly the same, The Jungle cassette avoids some of these issues. though the movie follows many of the beats of the original, it does suitably in the same way as ample extra computer graphics to create it environment fresh. most likely this is because The Jungle cassette is older than, say, Beauty and the Beast, suitably Disney can get away in the same way as bending it a little. It's much harder to complete that in the same way as a movie from the 90s that is yet buoyant in a lot of people's minds.
