Comic tape fans can be strong particular about costumes bodily comic-accurate. Captain Marvel will be showcasing some up to date looks for Brie Larson's character, Carol Danvers, just not the one-piece from Ms. Marvel's in advance years. Here's Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige gone more upon that:

If you look at the comics, the new you go back, the less clothes Carol Danvers seems to be wearing. Oftentimes it's a one-piece bathing charge basically, gone outrageous comic proportions. Brie sour it out upon the wall, and we went, 'Yeah just suitably you know, that's not what we're doing.' She goes, 'OK. I didn't think so, but I'm happy you said that.'

Yeah, this is probably the look he's talking about in that Hollywood Reporter interview:

That's not quite the management they're taking the MCU's Captain Marvel movie. That comic tape checking account of Carol Danvers looks more gone a WWE wrestler. Not that there's anything wrong gone that, it's just not the management this movie is taking.

Carol Danvers was first introduced in the comics in 1968 as a belong to of the Kree superhero Mar-Vell. In the 1970s, she became the first character to receive going on the mantle of Ms. Marvel.

Just the use of "Ms." made Carol Danvers stand out as a story of feminism at the time, rather than using Mrs. or Miss.

Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel movie is taking inspiration from the comics written by Kelly Sue DeConnick in 2012, gone artwork by Dexter Soy. In that series, DeConnick's idea for Captain Marvel was basically "Carol Danvers as Chuck Yeager," referencing the iconic exam pilot.

Brie Larson took her Captain Marvel training no question seriously, and she built going on some muscles under her superhero costume. But, thankfully, she didn't have to take action off those muscles in a one-piece. Her status as an expose Force pilot has no question been featured in the trailers, and the movie even renamed her comic tape cat "Goose" in tribute of top Gun. (The cat's reveal is Chewie in the comics, as a answer to Star Wars' Chewbacca. No idea why they couldn't have just kept that the charge upon screen.)

Even without baring skin, superhero costumes are notoriously uncomfortable for both men and women. Black Widow Scarlett Johansson, Catwoman Michelle Pfeiffer, Psylocke Olivia Munn, and Green Arrow/The Flash Stephen Amell have all spoken going on about the complexity of fitting into their suits. In a way, that's one fine concern about open-minded superheroes -- it's lovely much equal opportunity gone it comes to form-fitting costumes showing everything.

Captain Marvel will apparently be showcasing multipart looks for Carol Danvers, and then giving us the backstory of Nick Fury's later one-eyed look. The '90s-set film will introduce the heroine in the past bringing her into the Avengers fold for Endgame.

Captain Marvel opens in theaters March 8, followed by Avengers: Endgame upon April 26. save going on gone all things MCU in our genial guide, and bookmark our 2019 movie schedule for all the key dates.
