For fans of the classic video game, there are large quantity of fun references in the trailer. The Paramount logo is scene surrounded by gold rings. James Marsden's police governor is a resident of Green Hills, a suggestion to the first level of the original Sonic the Hedgehog video game. Even the film's tagline roughly every hero having a "Genesis," is a charming suggestion to the Sega video game console upon which Sonic had his best adventures. Possibly his abandoned good ones.
The plan of the film is a bit absentminded based upon the trailer. Sonic needs to "save the planet" while it's not definite here from what. Robotnik appears to be chasing Sonic, not the source of whatever Sonic is frustrating to keep us from thus what that is we don't in reality know.
